7 best snipers: shot for a life

It is no necessary to be a carrer military for a good sniper. This simple postulate was assimilated by the Red Army combatants which took part in the Winter war of 1939. Just a one lucky shoot won't create a sniper from man. Only true fighter skill has great value, who can hit a target on a huge distance from unwonted weapon or from uncomfortable postition.

A sniper always was an elite soldier. Iron nerves, steel body and iron grip of sharp eyes. Not every man can grow such character in himself. This 7 people could do it.

Carlos Hathcock

Like many american teenagers from remote places Carlos Hathcock dreamed to be in army. Being 17 years old in cowboy hat with white nib he was met in barracks with ineptnesses. First shooting range which was succesfully passed By Carlos turned ineptnesses of colleagues into revential silence. THe guy had got not just a talent - Carlos Hathcock was born only for accurate shooting. The young soldier met 1966 already in Vietnam.

There are just a hundred of corpses on formal count of Carlos Hathcock. But memoirs of his colleagues contains significantly larger numbers. Such facts could be explained with ordinary boasting of soldiers if not consider the cost for his head which was exposed by North Vietnam. But the war was over - and Hathcock went home without any wound. He died in his bed before a couple of days of his 57 year birthday.

Simo Hayha

This name became a symbol of war right away for both participating country. Simo was a real legend for finnish, who incarnated God of Vengeance. Simo Haya was name as Whiate Death among soldiers of the Red Army. The sniper killed about five hundreds of people during several monthes in 1939-1940. Incredible level of skill was infixed with used weapon: m/28 rifle with opened breech-sight

Lyudmila Pavlichenko

Amount of 309 enemy soldiers on count of russian sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko made her one of the best snipers for whole history of world wars. Being a courtyard girl in childhood Ludmila was trying to get to front from the first days of invasion of German occupants. The young woman admitted in one interview that it was hard to shoot man only in first time. Lyudmila Pavlichenko could'n make herself to
pull the trigger at first twenty-fout hour of war duty. Then the call of duty overpowered - it saved delicate woman psyche from incredible burden.

Vasily Zaytsev

Film "Enemy at the Gates" was released in 2001 in world cinema rental. The main hero of the film - real soldier of the Red Army and legendary sniper Vasily Zaytsev. We still can't to know if there was a real confrontation between Zaytsev and German sniper like in a film: mostly west sources incline to version of propaganda initialized by USSR and slavophiles claim the opposite point of view. However the fight has almost nothing for whole summary for the sniper. There were 149 victims in Vasily's documents. Likely the real number of victims is near five hundred of victims.

Chris Kyle

8 years old - the most appropriate age for shooting first time. Exactly if you was born in Texas. Chris Kyle aimed in target all his life: sport cockshots, then animals, then people. In 2003 Kyle who has already advanced in several secret operations for USA army got a new mission -- Iraq. He has took glory of merciless and very skillful soldier in a year and next trip brought him nickname "Ramadi's shaitan": respectful-scared tribute to self-righteous sniper. Kyle oficially killed 160 enemies of peace and democracy. The sniper mentioned about 320 victims in private talks

Rob Furlong

Rob Furlong was serving as an ordinary corporal in Canadian army for a long time. In contradistinction of other snipers in the article Rob didn't have clearly expressed talent of sniper. But he had enough persistence for a whole coy of untalanted soldiers. Furlong developed abilities of ambidexter with constant trainings. In a short time the corporal was transfered to a corp of special detachment. Operation "Anaconda" was the highest point of carrier for Furlong: in a fight the sniper make a success shoot from distance of 2430 metres. This record is still actual.

Thomas Plunket

Only two shoots brought ranker of British army Thomas Plunket to rang of the best sniper of his time. There was a battle near Monro in 1809. Thomas as all his colleague was armed with musket "Brown Bess". Field studies were enough for hitting the target from 50 metres. Of course, if the wind was enough weak. Thomas Plunket knocked down french general from his horse from 600 metres distance.

The shoot could be explained incredible lucky, magnetic field and aliens intrigues. Most likely Thomas's colleagues used this ways when they got over the astonishment. But Thomas demonstrated his second virtue -- ambitiousness. He easy reloaded his musket and shot down general's adjutant - from the same 600 metres
